St. Paul’s Lutheran Church has long enjoyed fellowship with Heit’s Point Lutheran Ministries whose facilities are located on 172 beautiful acres in Benton County, Missouri (80 MM of the Cole Camp Arm of Lake of the Ozarks). Over the years, many young people from our congregation have enjoyed and benefited from summer camp. As Heit’s Point continues to build on the theme of “Strengthening the Connection with the Vine,” there are even more branches available to offer respite for both young and old.
- Summer Camp – has grown by leaps and bounds and in 2019 there were many themed camps to spur interests of young people such as Horse Camp, Paint Ball Camp, Night Owl Camp, Outdoor Adventure Camp, Discover Camp, Family Camp and Special Needs Camp. In addition to attending camp, youth entering 11th/12th grades have the opportunity to volunteer as a Junior Counselor where they learn a variety of practical and life skills and what it means to be a servant leader. These skills give our youth an opportunity to develop responsibility, confidence, independence, and the ability to form lasting relationships.
- Programmed Events – offered throughout the year, various enriching events are available such as: Outdoor Festival, Couples Rendezvous, High School Retreats, High School Servant Events, Elders Workshops, Confirmation Retreats, Singles Retreats, Professional Church Worker Respite Weekend, and JourneyMen Retreat.
- Renting for Your Event – a variety of accommodations are offered along with excellent meal service to help host your conference, workshop, wedding, reunion or other gathering. The property includes cabins, houses, bunk houses, 13 spacious hotel suites with indoor heated pool, a dining hall that seats 250, a campground with tent sites, showers, 17 full hook-up RV sites, and a large pavilion picnic building. The staff can assist you in planning your event.
- Outdoor activities include: swimming, canoes, hiking, paddleboats, campfires, horseshoes, archery, playgrounds, challenge/confidence course…and so much more!
No matter what pulls you to Heit’s Point, or how far you travel from St. Paul’s Lutheran, it is our joint hope that “God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus. To our God and Father be glory forever and ever.” Philippians 4:19-20
