Pastor Evandro Kopper

Pastor

Pastor Evandro Kopper is originally from Southern Brazil. He received his Theology Masters of Divinity at Concordia Seminary, Sao Leopoldo, RS – Brazil in 1996 and is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Pastor Kopper served as a missionary in Brazil for 5 years, then moved to Memphis, TN where he worked as a church planter. During his 11 years in Memphis he was successful in planting a church within the Hispanic community on behalf of the Mid-South District of the Missouri Synod. He has also served as a Hospital Chaplain, Youth Minister, and Professor/University Chaplain.

In 2014, Pastor Kopper was united in marriage to Paula de Oliveira and in 2015 their union was blessed with a daughter, Melina de Oliveira Kopper. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing the guitar and getting to know people in the California community.

Don Jungmeyer

Organist

Don has enjoyed a varied career of service to his family, country, community and church. Before helping in nearly every capacity and on every board for St. Paul’s Lutheran, Don did his time in the United States Army with nearly two years in Germany. After college he worked with his father-in-law in a small construction business. He served as plant engineer at Ralston Purina and Cargill processing plant and Burgers’ Smokehouse before his retirement. Don is married to Carol, a retired RN and they have two children, Sherry Hampton and Darrell Jungmeyer, and one grandaughter, Adrienne Reifsteck. Don has faithfully manned the organ every third Sunday for countless years and looks forward to providing musical accompaniment to the traditional hymns that build up our congregation.

Twilla Duvall

Twilla has served in many musical capacities for St. Paul’s Lutheran Church as well as helping with the Annual Christmas Program, transition of retiring Pastors, making many website contributions and countless other behind-the-scenes tasks that go unsung. She currently works full-time as Vice President of Internet Services for Central Bancompany, Jefferson City, Missouri and serves as Director of the Heart of Missouri Chorus which is the local chapter of Sweet Adelines International, a highly respected worldwide organization of women singers. Twilla and her husband, Sonny, enjoy spending time with their grandchildren, and teaching them to hunt and respect wildlife. Gardening is another passion, but camping is their ideal escape. With her very busy schedule she still makes sure to provide beautiful music for worship services week after week.

Jack Lake

As the Youth Director at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Jack Lake is ready and willing to help our congregation serve the youth of our community. With a passion to see teenagers grow in their relationship with God and truly grasp what it means to be a Christ-follower, he is excited to serve in this capacity at St. Paul’s!

Jack is from Russellville, MO and graduated from Lincoln University with dual Bachelor of Science degrees in both Business Administration and Business Education. He owns and operates a thriving business, A & J AutoTrim, which handles professional installation of leather, heated or cooled auto interiors.

Jack is married to Debra (Ott) Lake and they have three sons, Jackie, William and Mason. In his spare time, Jack enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, hunting and coaching youth baseball and basketball.
